What our customers ask about system cleanliness:

What effects do dirty components have on my system?

Dirt blocks heat and air transfer which causes or contributes to all or some of the following:

1. Compressor and/or fan motors run hot, lubrication breaks down, life is shortened.

2. Heating and cooling capacity is reduced, increasing operating cost.

3. Compressor valves can be damaged due to refrigerant (Freon) flood back.

4. Coil can ice over, stopping all cooling and possibly causing damage due to a condensate water leak.

How often should my system be cleaned?

Location, running time, and type of system all effect how often a system will need cleaning.  However no matter how conscientiously you change your filters, your system should be checked and or cleaned at least once per year.  Manufactures suggest twice per year once in cooling season and again in the heating season.

How do I go about getting these cleanings done?

1. You can keep a schedule, call us periodically to check out and clean your system.  You will pay whatever the regular charges are in effect at the time, unless we happen to be running a special.

2. You can become one of our preferred service agreement customers.  We will send you a reminder card that it is time for your Tune-Up.  Let your technician or our office staff explain the benefits of service agreements, including your savings in operating cost due to a clean system.
